Rustins knotting is for sealing knots, resinous pockets and creosoted timber, to prevent bleeding through paint finishes. Sand the surface to a smooth, clean finish applying the knotting liberally over the knot(s) and surrounding area.
Do not sand after application
Once dry, the wood is ready for its first coat of paint
Allow 1 hour to dry in normal conditions
